It’s been a while since we have heard from the Applications Prototype Team in Redlands. As always they are busy working on the next greatest idea that could eventuate into a product or provide a good showcase of technology.

ArcGIS Mobile 10 has received an update to address a couple of issues. The latest build is now available on the Customer Care Portal for download.
If you log into the Esri Customer Care Portal, you will find that we have updated the download for ArcGIS Mobile. It is now titled "ArcGIS Mobile 10 (Build 2475)". This is a quick bug fix update to ArcGIS Mobile and the first of several updates we intend to bring to you over the next year.
Running the update setup will not require uninstalling ArcGIS Mobile 10. It will simply update your existing installation.

The deprecation plans for ArcGIS 10 and ArcGIS 10.1 has been released. With every release, platforms not being used as much anymore or at the end of their supportability are assessed. With platforms, these can include operating systems, databases, development environments, hardware and the like.
Periodically, it is necessary to deprecate specific functionalities and/or platforms to continue delivering optimal support for the remaining Esri software functionalities and platforms.

Last week I posted about a new ArcGIS 10 editing add-in which has been developed for OpenStreetMap.
The add-on allows ArcGIS users to download data from OpenStreetMap, store it locally in a geodatabase, and use the advanced editing environment of ArcGIS Desktop 10 to create, modify, or delete data. Once the edits are complete, the changes can be posted back to OpenStreetMap and made available to the OpenStreetMap community.
