Microsoft has released SQL Server SP2! Wahoo, this has Windows Vista support. BTW, I am having loads of fun trying to get stuff to work properly on Windows Vista. I have been using ArcGIS 9.2 SP1 and ArcGIS Server 9.2 SP1 and I can tell you there are lots and lots of interesting things happening. I will try and post some of these on the weekend. I have noticed over the last few months there have been more and more people moving to using Telligent’s Community Server engine for forums and blogging. I have to say it’s only getting better. scrappad at the moment is running Community Server 2.1 on .NET 2.0 and the performance is pretty outstanding. Heh, this is pretty cool. Rob Elkins who runs EDN (ESRI Developer Network) has just announced that ArcGIS Image Server will now be added to the suite of software products provided to EDN subscribers. Now isn’t that cool? I, myself have not used ArcGIS Image Server. I guess I have not had a need for it as yet. Well it’s taken me a while but I have finally got there. Due to applications and other little things that we had to support I couldn’t rush to installed Windows Vista. I start a new enterprise development project on Monday as such I thought it was time for a reinstall to clean out my laptop. Since we haven’t actually done any .NET 1.1 development in a while I thought I would install Windows Vista. I am now running Windows Vista Business Edition on my work laptop.
