Description
In ArcGIS Server, failover and round-robin are two methods for configuring multiple server object manager (SOM) machines.
After applying Service Pack 1 to ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 for the Java Platform, unexpected behavior has been experienced with round-robin and/or failover in the server environment.
With round-robin, the request is always sent to the secondary host.

The ArcGIS API for JavaScript 1.6 is now available. This is currently live and can be referenced.
Concepts, samples and reference documentation for the ArcGIS API for JavaScript has been updated as well. There are a few bug fixes along with a some new features.
Some of the highlights of what’s new in this latest release include:

With the release of the ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF 1.1 and ESRI MapIt 1.1, ESRI Parts for Microsoft SharePoint 1.1 was made available for download. Over the last few weeks I have had a few users asking for detailed security requirements for ArcGIS Server 9.3 running on Windows. As such I wanted to remind everyone of a whitepaper that is published on the Enterprise Resource Centre.

One of the new slick features of Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is the ability to handle VHD’s. You can use them for a number of different tasks including archiving files and folders through to booting up another operating system. While Windows 7 supports VHD’s, they aren’t as easy to work with as uou have to use Disk Management via the administration tools to mount and unmount VHD’s.
