ArcGIS API For Microsoft Silverlight/WPF Toolkit Now Available Open Source On Codeplex

The ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF Toolkit is now available as an open source project on Codeplex.

The project contains the source for the ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Toolkit.dll and is available for use under the Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL) agreement.  This source will be very helpful if you are customizing or extending the existing controls or if you are building your own mapping tools from scratch.

The download includes C# code and XAML for a set a widgets which are designed to work with the ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF map control.

This is really going to open up the door for developers to create their own mapping tools as well as extend the existing ones. The complete list of components with help documentation can be found here: http://resources.esri.com/help/…
