Microsoft has released an updated version of their developer reference for Silverlight 2.0. Around the middle of last year, I posted about the Silverlight 1.1 developer reference. This can be found here: http://se7en.co.nz/cms/…

The Silverlight 2.0 developer reference was handed out at Mix ’08 so if you didn’t get a copy or didn’t attend you can download and print your own.

Over the last year, Silverlight has grown to become a very powerful plugin for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the web.

The reference diagram comes in quite handy as it shows the different parts that make up Silverlight as from a developer perspective this makes life easier. The diagram breaks Silverlight into six categories.

Presentation Foundation
Presentation Core
.NET (Common Language Runtime)
Base Classes
Communications Foundation
Data Framework

The diagram also provides information on the new controls, tools, framework languages and platform support.

You can download the high resolution developer reference from the following links:

JPG (5.8 MB)
PNG (6.5 MB)
TIFF (19.9 MB)

I would recommend checking it out if you are getting started with Silverlight 2.0. If you want to download the latest version of Silverlight 2.0 you can do so on the Silverlight website.
