Eagle Technology Group Ltd Launches New GIS Team Website

There were a number of announcements at last week’s ESRI New Zealand User Conference 2008. One of the exciting announcements was launch of our new website.

The new website has been a side project for me for a while now and I was very happy to see it go live last week. Over the last few weeks we have been working very closely with ESRI International Marketing to make this possible. We decided to standardise on the one ESRI look and feel. You might notice as you browse a number of the distributors around the world you start to find a similar look and feel. This is something we wanted to be part of.

The new website offers a bundle of new features. To make it easily updatable we added support of the MetaBlog API to the news sections. This means our internal users can use a blogging tool like Microsoft Windows Live Writer to update and maintain content. In doing so we are able to offer RSS news feeds. http://www.eaglegis.co.nz/news.

Throughout the site there are also a number of forms for our users to contact us and open support requests online. Easy access to product, training and events information along with case studies and other vital information for our users.
