Keeping Busy With ArcGIS 9.3
Things have been ticking along and I have been reasonably busy with ArcGIS 9.3. With the final release due out in a few months, I have been getting to experience and learn a bundle of the new features coming in ArcGIS 9.3.
ArcGIS 9.3 has a bundle of new features and capabilities to offer. The server side has had a massive upgrade with new API’s coming for Microsoft’s Virtual Earth and Google Maps. Along with this their is the new REST and JavaScript API’s. Information about these have been posted around the web and on the ESRI web page so check it out.
Two weeks ago I was in Christchurch for the Christchurch User Group Meeting. I had an hour slot where those that attended had the opportunity of seeing first hand some of the new awesome features coming with ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server 9.3. I showcased a bundle of the new features which was received very well.
If you missed out on this and would like to see ArcGIS Server 9.3 get in contact with us. For those in Wellington I will doing a similar presentation at the Wellington User Group Meeting which is to be held on the 20th of June. Information about the UG meeting can be found on the GIS user list.
Check out the ESRI New Zealand User Group web site here: http://www.gisuser.co.nz/html/…
So things have been pretty flat out here. With Winter fast approaching and the release of ArcGIS 9.3 nearing, I have already started revamping our GIS, Technical Solutions Team demonstrations with ArcGIS 9.3. This also includes ArcMobile which has just been awesome.
