Last week I posted about a new ArcGIS 10 editing add-in which has been developed for OpenStreetMap.

The add-on allows ArcGIS users to download data from OpenStreetMap, store it locally in a geodatabase, and use the advanced editing environment of ArcGIS Desktop 10 to create, modify, or delete data. Once the edits are complete, the changes can be posted back to OpenStreetMap and made available to the OpenStreetMap community.

Full information on this can be found here: http://geo.geek.nz/development/…

The project’s website is now on CodePlex. This includes downloads, documentation and screenshots on how to install and use this add-in. Being on CodePlex allows the community to contribute and extend the add-in as well as report bugs and other issues. This can be found here: http://esriosmeditor.codeplex.com/

A press release around this new add-in has been published as well and can be found here: http://www.esri.com/news/…
