ArcGIS 9.3 Coming Soon …
As of early this month ESRI has started shipping the release candidate version of ArcGIS 9.3. I hear that a few people have already received this. James sounds excited to have received this. The release candidate version is going out to a much broader audience which is a great for testing purposes. Support for this is also going to be provided by ESRI Support Services with special forums setup just for this release.
The RC version is looking very good and ESRI has invested quite a bit of time in making sure that ArcGIS 9.3 will be a quality release. I have been using ArcGIS 9.3 now since the first eap build and I have to say I am very impressed with how things have progressed. The larger audience for the beta stages and now the RC will make sure more testing is done and feedback is received.
ArcGIS 9.3 is not far away now and things look like they are on track from the release dates that were mentioned at the ESRI Developer Summit 2008.
There are a number of things to think about before making the move to ArcGIS 9.3. Depending on your environment this can be an easy task or a very hard one so start thinking now about the migration!
For customers in New Zealand, if you are interested in having a look at ArcGIS 9.3 please get in contact with us and we should be able to organise something.
