ArcGIS Online Premium Services Now Available

Earlier this month ESRI announced that ArcGIS Online would feature a new premium service. The first addition to this premium service was the introduction of Microsoft Virtual Earth.

A few weeks ago ESRI followed up this announcement with a patch for ArcGIS 9.3. This allowed ArcGIS 9.3 users to consume ArcGIS Online Premium Services.

ESRI have now made available the ArcGIS Online Premium Services.

ArcGIS Online Services Premium subscriptions are now available: 

  • Microsoft Virtual Earth map services for use in ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Explorer can be previewed in the content showcase on the ArcGIS Online Resource Center home page.
  • USA Prime Imagery service from i-cubed for use in ArcGIS Desktop or with ArcGIS Server can be previewed in the content showcase on the ArcGIS Online Resource Center home page.

A trial for 14 days is available for users that want to see what these services offer. This is a great addition to ArcGIS 9.3 and ArcGIS Online and will be very useful for a number of users out there.
