ArcGIS Server 9.2 SP5 And IBM Portal Server
I see Sterling has posted some information on the support for IBM Portal Server in ArcGIS Server 9.2 SP5. I didn’t realise support for this was added in the service pack. The enhancement provides support for IBM Portal Server, portlet development.
This gives you the ability to create and publish GIS Mapping Portlets inside IBM Portal Server. In conjunction, SP5 includes a plug-in for the IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD) environment so that you can create and deploy those ArcGIS Portlets more efficiently.
Sterling has provided links to a few links to articles where they show this in Rational Application Developer. The article links can be found here:

Last year I when I was in our Professional Services Team, I was on a big project with the EQC (Earth Quake Commission) and IBM New Zealand where we made use of the IBM Portal Server. Having this new portlet functionality would of been great in adding extra features to the application. The EQC system has now gone live and is a great use case for us showcasing the ArcGIS Server 9.2 Java ADF and enterprise development with IBM. Some of my experiences with RAD can be found on my archives website here: http://se7en.co.nz/cms…
