ESRI’s Updated Logo

For those that have been browsing the ESRI websites this week, you would have noticed the updated ESRI logo.

This new logo is being updated across ESRI sites with ArcGIS.com being the first to sport the new look logo.

You will notice the new typography style to ESRI…. making it lower case and using a new font treatment. In addition, we adjusted the globe to be easier to use graphically and to work better online.

The globe has been revised slightly to be cleaner, simpler and easier to read. It’s also more three-dimensional, and has been resized to give more visibility to the ESRI brand.

Strengthening your brand in the global marketplace is important and this is one areas that ESRI has focused on. With the ESRI International User Conference 2010 around the corner, the introduction of  the new logo comes at a perfect time.

The new logo provides a fresh, modern, friendly feel and aligns nicely with the massive release of ArcGIS 10 which is coming.
