Now there’s no reason not to have your GIS on BlackBerry smartphones.

Freeance View software allows any organization running ESRI’s ArcGIS Server to publish their maps live to an unlimited number of BlackBerry smartphones. And it’s free.

Create GIS maps on BlackBerry for public use, field workers, executives – anyone. Whether you’re a government agency, private organization, for-profit or non-profit, in any industry – Freeance View is your no-cost solution for GIS on BlackBerry.

There are two different Freeance View software applications.

The first is Freeance View software you run on your BlackBerry smartphone. It’s for viewing GIS maps.

The second is Freeance View software runs in an organization’s IT department. This server software is for creating custom Freeance View GIS sites for BlackBerry smartphone users.

If you have ESRI mapping with ArcGIS Server or ArcIMS software, Freeance View is your free solution to easily push out live GIS data to an unlimited number of BlackBerry smartphone users.

The Freeance product range now features three editions. View, Mobile Basic and Mobile Pro. A comparision of these editions can be found here: http://view.freeance.com/…. Freeance View offers users the ability to view live GIS maps from your ArcGIS Server, zoom to a GPS location as well hotlink map features to images and web pages.

Some might ask why free?

Because the best way to improve a product is to get as many people using it as possible so they can feed back information to us.  Our customers know more about what they need than we do.

Freeance View can be download for free at http://www.gisonblackberry.com. This site also contains all the information you need to get started.
