Well it’s been another full on week and I see there are a few interesting things that have been posted. I have been really busy working away on the Java project that I am assigned to. This is making use of the Java ADF and the Enterprise ADF as well. It has been a learning curve as things are different but it has been good. Some annoying things but you find ways to work around it. I guess it really comes down to understanding the whole concept of how the Java ADF works. I think I have a good handle now on how things are ment to work so that is helping. We are still making use of IBM’s RAD and IBM Websphere. THE IDE itself which is built on Eclipse takes a bit of getting use to. That and CVS is can be a bit annoying at times. It’s been good stuff though.

I see there have been a few posts talking about wrap up’s from the Developer Summit. I have been hearing this was a pretty good event. I’m looking forward to being there next year! Also Dave and Rob have posted that the slides from the Developer Summit are now up on EDN. Awesome! Will be good to go through some of the sessions and have a look at some of things that were talked about. You can grab them here: http://edn.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=conferences.gateway.

I haven’t heard many comments about the new look ESRI Support Centre that is coming soon? http://blogs.esri.com/roller/resources/SupportCenter/HomePageRevs_big.PNG. I guess not much is changing. They are moving the sidebar to the other side of the page and cleaning it up a bit. I like the new expanded search bar as well. I hope they will improve the performance of the site as well. Certain areas are lacking. There has been no talk about upgrading the forums as well? I think this needs an upgrade!

Finally I see James has got Planet Geospatial up and running again nicely. I like the new look and feel. Also looks and feels more robust than the last version. Well done James.

I have been lacking on the posts. Trying my best to get back to up speed and post more technical articles about stuff. Will get there as soon as I can J
