Document – Installation And Configuration: Web Server

Base Operating System:
Windows Server 2003

Installation:
1. IIS 6.0 (Preinstalled)
2. .NET Framework 1.1 (Preinstalled)
3. .NET SDK 1.1. Follow the wizard. Only the runtime files are required. Do not install the samples.
4. ArcGIS Server .NET ADF 9.1. Follow the wizard with accepting defaults. Only the runtime files are required. Do not install the Java runtime, as this is not required for the application. There is no need to install the samples. IIS needs to restarted after the installation for the .NET ADF to be active.

Configuration:
1. .NET Framework 1.1, .NET SDK 1.1 and ArcGIS Server .NET ADF 9.1 do not require any additional configuration.
2. Computer Management can be found in Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. In Computer Management create a new user with the following credentials.

Full Name: ArcGIS Impersonation User
Description: ArcGIS Server Impersonation User
Username: agsuser
Password:

Options (Untick the following)
User cannot change password
Password never expires

Assumptions
No Domain Present
