ESRI Update

Ive just been using Micrsoft update and just wondering to myself, how nice would it be if ESRI had an automatic update for the software base. When I was at the conference there was some talk of this in 9.2?, but I didnt hear much.

Does anyone know if ESRI are thinking of doing this?. Pretty much the same idea as Microsoft, web based automatic update and even automated checking for updates. Im sure this will have great advantages for a number of big corporates out there, needing to update systems. They can just run the update.

The other big benefit of this, that I see, is that ESRI can release patches more frequently and faster. This way users dont have to wait till the next service pack or a OFE for a bug or problem to be fixed.

Im intrested to hear if anyone has any thoughts or information.
