Well with all the launches that have taken place over the last few months from Microsoft, everyone is still coming up to speed with how things work. Microsoft New Zealand is helping everyone out there by having a 2007, Technical Briefing.

This is a one day event which will take place in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. They are going to have three streams running. Application Platform Track, Information Worker Tracker and an Infrastructure Track.

I have already registered and will be attending the Application Platform Track. This is mainly the development track where they will talk about things like tools for working with databases and building standard compliant websites etc. Kinda looking forward to it actually. It will also cover development on the .NET 3.0 framework and touch on working with Windows Vista.

So this is all nice and good, but Microsoft New Zealand has an added incentive to attend. Registration includes a FREE copy of either Microsoft Office Professional 2007 or Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate. Ok, so this is not a free event but how much does it cost? $199 + GST for registration. Wow! that’s pretty good. For $199, you get all the sessions plus a free copy of Office or Windows!

As I said, I have registered already but spaces are filling up really really quickly. Some of the sessions are already maxed out, so head over and register quickly!
