Telerik Code Converter!

This  is a cool new converter that has been released by Telerik. Telerik is a leading vendor of UI components for ASP.NET and Windows Forms.

To date there hasn’t really been any good code converters out there. Occasionally I use the Developerfusion converter which can be found here: http://www.developerfusion.co.uk/utilities/convertvbtocsharp.aspx. This converts VB.NET to C# and vice-versa. I find has quite a few problems and struggles with certain things.

Telerik Code Coverter is a free simple VB.NET to C# code converter and vice-versa. It’s shaping up to be one of the best code converters out there.

So what makes the Telerik Code Converter better then any other out there? Well a few things. The online version can be found here: http://converter.telerik.com/Default.aspx. The online version is AJAX based which makes converting code easy. The results can also be highlight so you can see the code will look like instantly! How cool!

Ok that’s not even the best part. Telerik has made this available for Yahoo! Widgets, Google Gadgets and Microsoft Windows Vista Sidebar. It’s the most useful sidebar gadget I have found to date along with the one that I am writing of course They are also looking into making a addin for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

So head over and check it out. I have found code converters really useful when having to change our VB.NET code into Java as the syntax is similar to C#
