Many users have been asking questions about ArcGIS 9.4 with some wondering about the dot release and the naming. Should it even be called ArcGIS 9.4? The ArcGIS Web Mapping API’s Product Life Cycle has been released and is now available. The ArcGIS Web Mapping API’s consists of the following: ArcGIS API for JavaScript ArcGIS API for Flex ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/Flex To the effect of their Product Release Cycle, the release date for the ArcGIS Web Mapping APIs matches that of ArcGIS. For example, the release date of version 1.x of the ArcGIS Web Mapping APIs is June 2008 (coinciding with 9.3).
