ArcGIS Mobile 10 Update Available For Download

ArcGIS Mobile 10 has received an update to address a couple of issues. The latest build is now available on the Customer Care Portal for download. If you log into the Esri Customer Care Portal, you will find that we have updated the download for ArcGIS Mobile. It is now titled "ArcGIS Mobile 10 (Build 2475)". This is a quick bug fix update to ArcGIS Mobile and the first of several updates we intend to bring to you over the next year. Running the update setup will not require uninstalling ArcGIS Mobile 10. ArcGIS Server 10 Requires A Custom Extent To Be Set When Using Mobile Data Access

Those using ArcGIS Server 10 might come across this issue when publishing map services with mobile data access capabilities. In the past it was OK to publish an MXD as a map service with mobile data access capabilities enabled as long as it contained supported layers. However using ArcGIS Server 10, you will receive the following error message when trying to start a map service with mobile data access capabilities enabled. Late last week we sent out an email to customers in New Zealand informing them of the some of the changes to licensing with ArcGIS Mobile 10. There are some new and exciting changes so thought I would share this with everyone! ArcGIS 10 Prerelease should be made available for download later today and as part of this release as well as the launch of the ArcGIS 10 Resource Centres, ArcGIS Mobile 10 Prerelease is now available for download. What’s Coming In ArcPad 8?

Earlier this year ESRI announced ArcPad 7.2. A few weeks later the beta program was opened to a select few users allowing those accepted into the program to test the software. As at the latest beta release, ArcPad 7.2 has been renamed to ArcPad 8. ESRI has published a bundle of information on what we can expect from ArcPad 8.
