The much anticipated ArcGIS API for iPhone has now been made available for download as part of a public beta.
The ArcGIS API for iPhone enables you to build iPhone applications that utilize the powerful mapping, geocoding, geoprocessing, and custom capabilities provided by ArcGIS Server. The API consists of native Objective C libraries that can be used within the Xcode Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Other iPhone developer tools such as Interface Builder can also be used in your application development.

With the release of ArcGIS 9.3 there have been a number of changes to ESRI web sites along with new web sites like the ArcGIS 9.3 Resource Centre.
I posted earlier in the week that the ESRI Developer Network had been updated. Since then many people have been asking what is happening with the ESRI Developer Network and why the changes?

ESRI has updated the front page of the ESRI Developer Network. With the release of ArcGIS 9.3 and the new ArcGIS 9.3 Resource Centres, the new look front page directs users quickly to the content the require. ArcGIS 9.3 resources are now found on the ESRI Resource Centres with ArcGIS 9.2 and older versions found on the traditional EDN website. There are also links for finding more information on the EDN program. Hopefully this will encourage more users to purchase EDN.

ESRI has updated the ESRI Developer Network site mentioning that the upcoming beta release of ArcGIS 9.3 will be made available to active EDN subscribers.
The upcoming Beta release of ArcGIS 9.3 will be available for active EDN subscribers. All active domestic EDN Subscribers will be receiving an invitation via email to participate in the ArcGIS 9.3 beta program. Invitations to active international EDN subscriptions will vary by region.
