ArcGIS Viewer For Flex Public Beta Now Available

The much anticipated ArcGIS Viewer for Flex has now been made available for download as a public beta. The ArcGIS API for Flex development team is excited to announce that the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex (BETA) application is now available for testing. The ArcGIS Viewer for Flex is built with the ArcGIS API for Flex 2.0, and is based on the popular Sample Flex Viewer that was used with the 1.x versions of the Flex API. Both the ArcGIS API for Flex 2.0 and the ArcGIS API for JavaScript 2.0 are now available. These API’s have been in public beta for a the last few month and have now been made available coinciding with the release of ArcGIS 10. There were a number of demonstrations and sessions at the ESRI Developer Summit 2010 showcasing the ArcGIS API for Flex 2.0 and now you can try it yourself. The ArcGIS Web Mapping API’s Product Life Cycle has been released and is now available. The ArcGIS Web Mapping API’s consists of the following: ArcGIS API for JavaScript ArcGIS API for Flex ArcGIS API for Microsoft Silverlight/Flex To the effect of their Product Release Cycle, the release date for the ArcGIS Web Mapping APIs matches that of ArcGIS. It’s been nearly six months since we have seen a release of the ArcGIS API for Flex. Since then the Flex API has grown in popularity with users actively developing some really neat applications.
