On Friday, I mentioned that Microsoft had unveiled a whole new brand called Bing. ArcGIS Online Map Services Migrating To Microsoft Virtual Earth/Google Maps Tiling Scheme

At the ESRI Developer Summit 2009 earlier this year, ESRI announced that ArCGIS Online will migrate its map services to the Microsoft Virtual Earth/Google Maps tiling scheme. Not many attendees might have picked up on this news, but in the next update which will come through later this year, the tiling scheme will mimic those of Microsoft and Google. ArcGIS Online Premium Services Now Available

Earlier this month ESRI announced that ArcGIS Online would feature a new premium service. The first addition to this premium service was the introduction of Microsoft Virtual Earth. A few weeks ago ESRI followed up this announcement with a patch for ArcGIS 9.3. This allowed ArcGIS 9.3 users to consume ArcGIS Online Premium Services.
